Phyllida and Stuart Gibson
When I first visited Gwavas Homestead, Phyll took great delight in telling me the curtains in the drawing room were the originals. I was too scared to touch them and I was incredibly grateful I hadn’t bought my small children with me that day, as they may have torn them from the ceiling.
Gwavas Homestead is an absolute treasure. The gardens and grounds themselves are incredible. Driving in the long driveway under the canopy of trees more than 100 years old, is a sight to see.
There are plantings in the garden that are as old as the Homestead, and the care and love the Gibson’s have for this place is a labour of love.
